“Two vineyards, one planted 1914 in Rowland Flat, the other 1932 in Angaston Village.
Raspberry, cocoa, some liquorice, rhubarb, something floral too, like dried roses.
It’s a supple and juicy wine, a smattering of dried herb and new leather adds a savoury component, and the finish is fleshy and somewhat stony, and offers excellent length.
Very good and something of a bargain with it.”
