A red wine that marries the elegance of Sangiovese with the soft, fruity notes of Merlot and Canaiolo. The ancient technique of Governo and the blend of these varieties create an original, fresh, elegant wine, with delicate hints of dried grapes.  Fresh red berries as well as redcurrant jam, fruit leather and violets. Dense berries and tobacco roll around on the palate, it’s supple and certainly full of flavour.

Notes from the winemaker

“Intense ruby red in color with violet hues. Aromas of red berries, which the specific vinification technique underpins with hints of dried fruit and jam. With considerable structure, soft tannins and a long and lingering finish. The second fermentation using dried grapes confers a slightly sweetish sensation. This is an intense, warm wine with a full and rounded mouth-feel.” 

80% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot, 5% Canaiolo
