Domaine Grand Veneur Les Origines is produced from a blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre and 20% Syrah. The vines are more than 65 years of age. Modern in style, the wine is aged in a combination of new and used, French oak barrels for 16 months.

Cuvée ‘Les Origines’ is a single vineyard expression of the Domaine’s Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir.

Deep and brilliant, purple-red colour. An exciting nose with aromas of black fruit (blackcurrant, cherry) spices and vanilla. This great aromatic complexity carries through to the palate: the spices and ripe fruit appear with an elegant woodiness and harmonious tannins. The finish has good aromatic length and introduces a touch of liquorice and pepper. A terrific Chateauneuf-du-Pape with great concentration and finesse.
