This Barbera d’Alba has a fine garnet red colour, a marked acidity and well-balanced tannins.

It has aromas of ripe berries, cherries, leather and green herbs. 

It goes perfectly with pasta, pizza or tapas, as the fine acidity and fruity style play well against both cheese, smoked meat and tomato-based sauces.

The grapes are hand-picked and, contrary to the standard for Barbera d’alba Superiore, which must be aged for 4 months in cask and 8 in bottle, this one has spent a full 12 months in used casks.
