Pala Soprasole Vermentino di Sardegna
Imported | Sardinia, Italy
Crabilis, which means “ancient goat shelter” in Sardinian dialect, is the name of a vine-covered, sandy limestone hill not far from the Pala winery. Originally called Crabilis (the actual name of the vineyard where the vermentino grows), the wine is now renamed i Fiori (the flowers) in honor of Sardinia’s biodiversity. The flower on the label is an endemic plant of the island. After harvest and gentle pressing, the wine is fermented in steel tanks where it rests for a few months before bottling.
Straw colour with greenish reflections, bright. Intense persistent floral and vegetable aroma with note of lime and balsamic. At the palate the vegetable notes are predominant, smooth and full with good depth and well balanced, with a long persistent aftertaste.
Pair with seafood.
