Sourced from their original 1973 plantings, this wine is a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc. Great time and care has been taken in the management of the fruit from this special vineyard and through the winery. This manifests itself in the sheer effortless elegance of this wine.

It has the Cabernet inky black-red colour and a sublime perfume of violets, ripe red to dark currants and mulberry with subtle black olive, anise and bay leaf following through on the nose.

The palate is full bodied, yet restrained and ultra-smooth, with persistent flavours true to its opulent nose. There’s dark chocolate and black cherry overtones added within the velvety embrace of the high quality French oak used. There is true length of flavour to be had in this wine that will cellar for a significant period of time.
