“This wine is looking good considering its age with colour still quite youthful; and just starting to show some development on the rim. It is a big version of Coonawarra full of ripe cassis and blackcurrant fruits well supported by sweet, coconut oak. That rich oak continues on the palate and dominates the sweet fruit a little while also providing chewy tannins. It’s a solid, chunky red well suited to fans of the wines from the Barossa or McLaren Vale.”

Softness and elegance of this wine have been enhanced by maturation in small French oak casks. Hints of pepper spice on the fore with flavours of blackberry and cherry. The wine provides a full-bodied structure, silky tannins, and excellent varietal characteristics – for that lasting impression.
