The Vasse Felix Tom Cullity Cabernet Blend has gone from strength to strength in recent years. The 2018 vintage has just been released and is exceptional.

With fruit coming off the vineyard originally planted to an old WA clone of Cabernet in 1967, there is a depth of flavour only old vines like this can produce.  The plantings remain a trusted indicator for Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon and truly sing in a great vintage, of which 2018 is right up there.  If the perfect growing conditions for red production were listed, 2018 ticked all of the right climate and vineyard boxes.

The fruit was then stewarded through the winemaking process by the Vasse Felix’s renowned Chief Winemaker Virginia Willcock who comments “The immense, levitating body feels rich, but light. It’s our dream Cabernet Sauvignon vintage for weight, flavour preservation and balance.”

This wine is made in very limited quantities and will age with extreme grace in the forthcoming years.
