Colour Very bright and clear with a hint of light lemon/green.
Aroma Has delicate, tropical fruit aromas of guava and lovely lemon and lime fruit characters (think baked lime cheesecake!), with a hint of grassiness.
Palate This is a well weighted, crisp dry wine. It’s quite subtle for a Sauvignon Blanc as it’s not full-on passionfruit or overly herbaceous, while still having good depth of delicate, restrained, tropical fruit flavours. The good palate weight from the riper fruit component makes the wine approachable now and the fresh acidity and lovely ‘lemon pith’ character from the earlier picked component provides its pleasingly dry finish. It will continue to drink well over the months ahead.
A delicious dry wine that can be enjoyed with or without food.
Best enjoyed as a young wine.
