The red apple of pinot noir meets the grapefruit of chardonnay, set against a backdrop of spicy, toasty gingerbread lees complexity.

The wine is elegant with floral notes to the fore and hints of white peach and acacia on the palate.  An excellent apéritif wine, this is a splendid introduction to the delights from this most ancient of Champagne Houses.
