Deep, inky crimson. Aromatic and spicy, with masses of sweet black fruit and chocolate, on the nose and the palate. Big and dense but not heavy. Full-bodied, deep and powerful. Powerful tannins coated in sweet dark fruit and chocolate, then spice again on the finish. There’s a very slight balsamic note here and definitely more complexity to come though it is massive with sweet, dark-fruited pleasure already. The tannins are deep and rounded and the finish is really long and enveloping.
