The Kurayoshi Pure Malt Sherry Cask is a 100% malted barley whisky, which was created by blending Japanese whisky and Scotch whisky.

The spirit was cut to proof using the legendary volcanic stone filtered waters of Tottori Prefecture. The whisky was then matured for around three years before it was finished in Sherry casks.

Nose: Lemongrass, sweet oak and milk chocolate lead, among runny honey and stewed pears. Sultanas, ground ginger and crunchy brown sugar linger, with floral barley and blueberries underneath.

Palate: Sherried malt, dried fruit and strawberries are present initially, before touches of chocolate peanuts and rich vanilla emerge.

Finish: A medium length carries a little citrus zest.
