Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Five Malt Stouted Mash 700ml

This is the Winter 2021 edition of Woodford Reserve’s Master’s Collection. For this expression, Master Distiller Chris Morris and Assistant Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall explore the concept of whiskey as it begins its life as “distiller’s beer” and becomes a fully realized whiskey. The whiskey is made with a mash of five malted grains to mimic the taste of dark beer– distillers malt, wheat malt, pale chocolate malt, Carafa 1 malt, & kiln coffee malt. It is bottled at 90.4 proof and available in limited quantities.

Burnished orange in colour, the Woodford Reserve Five Malt Stouted Mash has notes of roasted malt, toasted nuts which are sweetened with milk chocolate and orange zest. Oak, cherry and shortbread can also be found on the nose.
