DOM Benedictine 700ml
France
In 1510, in the Benedictine Abbey of Fécamp, Dom Bernado Vincelli created a medicinal, herbal masterpiece. In 1863, Alexandre Le Grand acquired the recipe, inspiring commercial production of what became internationally known as Dom Benedictine.
A secret recipe of 27 plants and spices, with the three main ingredients being Angelica, Hyssop and Lemon Balm. There are only three people on earth who know the complete recipe for making the spirit. Aged for up to 17 months before bottling, this liqueur carries an air of pure class and historic greatness.
The Dom Benedictine Liqueur recipe reached 500 years of age in 2011 and along with it came the rightful reputation as one of the oldest, most well-respected liqueurs of all time.
Tasting Notes:
Saffron amber colouring, with a spicy, citrus fruit and fresh aroma. Suggestions of honey are present, whilst the palate features a rich texture, herb and spice qualities, an inherent balanced sweetness, and a pleasingly mellow finish.
