Alkoomi Grazing Collection Chardonnay

Chardonnay | Frankland River, Western Australia, Australia

The fruit was harvested in the early hours of the morning and pressed to tank.  The juice was settled overnight and racked with a high proportion of juice solids prior to fermentation in stainless steel.  The wine was kept on fermentation lees and stirred regularly to build complexity and texture before bottling.

Vintage: Excellent growing conditions during spring led to healthy canopies and set the vineyard up beautifully for the rest of the season. A mild, yet very dry ripening season resulted in pristine fruit quality with an abundance of flavour intensity.

Colour: Brilliant pale gold with emerald flecks.

Palate: Ripe peach and nectarine flavours on the palate with layers savoury nutty notes underpinned by the fresh acid profile.
