The From The North Mourvedre is a dark and smoky, elusive wine. As with all of the Spring release Ochota Barrels reds, this is a super-fine-boned version of this Rhone variety. Early picked fruit from the Barossa Valley takes on a new look for the region when in the hands of Taras Ochota. It’s built on a spindly scaffolding, it’s vibrant and mid-weight yet there’s flavour a-plenty. A fresher and airier version of Mourvedre that doesn’t skimp on the raw attitude of the variety. It’s delicious stuff.
Another string to the already colourful Ochota Barrels bow. Wild and awesome.
