Molino Loco Monastrell 750ml (Spain)
Molino Loco translates as ‘Crazy Windmill’, aptly describing the windmill that stands alone at Bodegas Castano which is known to move when there is not a breath of wind in the air. Monastrell, also known as Mourvedre (France) and Mataro (Australia), is planted widely in the Yecla, a South Eastern region of Spain when the wine originates.
A beautifully deep and vibrant colour, reminiscent of ripe red fruits. Balsamic hints and floral notes sit beneath deep flavours of plums and cherries. A light touch of oak and soft, rounded tannins are followed by fresh fruits, making this a balanced and easy drinking wine. This wine is round and juicy, perfect to drink on its own or with red meats.
