An excellent example of the red wines of the Rioja DOC, famed for its Tempranillo.
The grapes come from vineyards planted on limestone-rich clay soils. The fermentation was carried out in small stainless steel tanks for 15 days at temperatures below 27°C/80°F.
Approximately 10% of the wine spent 5 months in French oak.
A fruit forward, well-balanced wine with spicy notes on the palate. Ripe tannins, savoury and mineral hints complement a pleasant dark cocoa finish.
Recommended to share with paella, pasta, vegetables, meats and short or medium cured cheeses.
