The palate is vibrant and expressive with subtle texture featuring red cherries and boysenberry. Diligent handling of oak exudes savoury notes of slight char combined with delicate cinnamon and nutmeg. A fine, yet balanced acidity line draws together all components leading to a finish that is both structural and complementary.
Focussed and fine, the palate is medium in body and delicately textured with red cherries and ripe mulberries. Black olive, dried sage and coffee bean presents elegant layers, which are woven together with a minerally acid line and chalky structural tannin.
Mother’s Milk is matured for 15 months in 95% older French oak hogsheads and 5% new American oak barriques. Opaque inky black in colour with a very deep, dark crimson red hue.
