The real deal, Chianti DOCG! Light to medium bodied; dark and sour cherries with a lovely dried herb finish. Perfect with pizza, pasta and spicy sausage. Or all three!
The serious and complex palate is mouth-filling with generous dark fruit and balanced oak barrel characters. There are fine integrated tannins giving the wine a solid structure. Overall, the pure varietal fruit, plush oak and rounded tannins give the wine beautiful harmony.
It offers a very spicy palate with some licorice and cumin seed coming through, supported by a medium level of velvety tannins, lively acidity and finishing very long.
The palate has plenty of sweet dark fruits and spicy oak flavours. Aged in tight grained French oak barrels for fourteen months, this wine will benefit from cellaring.
Rich black fruits are integrated beautifully with dark liquorice, chocolate and cedar. A tight core of acid and ripe grippy tannins leaves a full lingering finish.
