Description
Distilled in 1971 and matured for 42 years in a first fill Sherry cask giving a luscious Mahogany colour. The nose has rich Sherry with fruit cake, raisins and mazipan. A little water displays stewed pear and apple aromas. A lingering menthol lingers in the background. The palate gives Cracked pepper initially with sultanas. Then fresh mint and dark chocolate, nutmeg and cinnamon. Fruit flavours develop with orange and kiwi, balanced with a hint of coffee. A full bodied luxury whisky with a long smooth finish.
