The Fine Grande Réserve 1966 in Chapoutier is an exceptional eau-de-vie that has been aged for 40 years in 228-liter barrels. The 1966 vintage was exceptional in the Northern Rhone region. This fine has been distilled from the wine lees of great terroirs such as the Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie or Saint-Joseph.
- Color: coppery, with bronze reflections.
- Nose: it opens with a scent of violet, then evolves to notes of prune.
- Palate: complex and slender, with aromas of candied fruits and sweet spices.
- Finish: very long, melted, with notes of dried flowers.
