Mount Mary Pinot Noir (Yarra Valley, VIC)
The nose shows all the customary Mount Mary Pinot aromas of raspberries, cherries and stewed quince. It already walks the fine line between sweet and savoury, this balance usually only seen with extended maturation time in bottle. The tannins are present but in combination with the acid provide the perfect structure to match with the fruit weight and intensity. A wine that can truly be enjoyed now but will age beautifully for the next two decades.
