Midium to full weight with a fleshy mid-palate and rustic dry finish.
Focussed and fine, the palate is medium in body and delicately textured with red cherries and ripe mulberries. Black olive, dried sage and coffee bean presents elegant layers, which are woven together with a minerally acid line and chalky structural tannin.
It offers a very spicy palate with some licorice and cumin seed coming through, supported by a medium level of velvety tannins, lively acidity and finishing very long.
The palate is generous and rounded with juicy berry fruits, pepper and mocha characters. Spicy notes lend depth and complexity to the palate, complemented by seductive and lingering tannins
Dark Side of the Moon Shiraz shows deep forest berry fruit characters complemented by spicy, almost chocolatey oak. The wine is finely structured, quite tight in youth. With time all those forward primary fruit flavours will round out to fill the palate. A pretty and remarkably delicate wine.
